Service Description

Our Introduction to Scentwork course is designed to teach your dog how to search for and indicate specific scents, starting with Kong and Clove. Suitable for dogs of all ages and abilities, this course provides both mental and physical stimulation while tapping into your dog’s natural instinct to sniff and search. Scentwork is more than just fun — it offers many benefits for your dog: - Channelling energy into positive activities, reducing unwanted behaviours - Providing an outlet for natural sniffing instincts - Mental enrichment to keep your dog’s brain sharp and engaged - Confidence building - Low-impact activity suitable for all breeds and ages - Stronger bond between you and your dog through teamwork What you and your dog will learn: - Introduction to scentwork and its benefits - Teaching your dog to recognise and indicate target scents - Building a clear and reliable indication - Developing your own handling skills to guide your dog effectively With our accredited Scentwork UK instructors, you’ll benefit from individual support in a small, friendly group setting. After completing this course, you’ll have the option to join our ScentDetective Club – a pay-as-you-go training group where you can continue practising and progressing your scentwork skills. We strive to create a positive, inclusive and respectful atmosphere for everyone in our classes. We are LGBTQ+ friendly. Children are welcome to join if they are accompanied by at least 1 adult. Prefer a private session? Our workshop is also available as a one-to-one training session.
