Ingredients:
1 tin of mackerel or sardine (in oil for a shiny coat or in spring water for a low calorie option)
1 cup of flour (any kind will do, gluten free will make a crumblier texture and wheat flour for a chewier texture)
You can add an egg for additional protein but it's not necessary
Preheat the oven to 180C
Pour the tin of fish in the a bowl and mash the contents
Mix in the flour (and egg)
Line a baking sheet with grease proof paper
Spread the mixture on the baking sheet - For an even biscuit, you roll it out with a dough roller. If your dough roller is wood or other porous material, use a sheet of grease proof paper between the roller and the dough to avoid the fish oil to be absorbed by the roller
Use a fork or knife to score the dough into your desired treat size or use a cookie cutter for an aesthetic cookie
Bake for 12-18 minutes until the dough is golden brown
Store in a ziplock bag or plastic container for up to 1 week - The dryer the cookie, the longer it will keep
